What is the BiH Energy Summit?
The Energy Summit is organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the State Electricity Regulatory Commission, Federation Energy Regulatory Commission and Republika Srpska Energy Regulatory Commission. The Summit includes the state and entity ministries in charge of energy, parliament representatives, power utilities, chambers of commerce, small and medium sized enterprises in the energy sector, investors, suppliers, consumer associations, universities and non-governmental organizations, as well as representatives of the Energy Community, regional regulatory commissions and other international donors active in the energy sector.
The goal of the Summit is to gather all players in the energy sector to discuss the most important topics in the field of energy, such as investments in the energy sector, the functioning of the retail electricity market and integration of the BiH market into the regional market. The Summit also features technical sessions that will deal with popular topics.
PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT - ENERGY SUMMIT 2020 IN BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA
The Energy Summit 2020 in Bosnia and Herzegovina scheduled to take place on March 18-20, 2020 in Neum will be postponed. The tentative new date is October 28-30, 2020.
The health and safety of our participants is our top priority, so the organizers of the Summit, USAID Energy Policy Activity Project (USAID EPA) and the British Embassy Sarajevo will take all necessary steps and precautions suggested by BiH authorities.
Given the growing concerns on a global and local level, we have made the decision to postpone the Summit until the epidemiological situation stabilizes.
